Around a hundred workshops with indigenous shamans, always as a student. Many years with two of them, in North America and in Mongolia, and with a teacher in the Moroccan desert. Before and alongside that, twenty-five years of learning and development in around thirty countries. He lives and works in the Basel region, Switzerland.

Andy Dittrich is the author of the SHAMANIC WAYS book series (FEUER, TROMMELSCHLAG, RITUALE) and founder of FIVE MOVES, a body-based method. He learned from two indigenous shamans and a teacher in the desert, over many years, always as a student.
He has guided around two thousand people through rituals, safely in and safely back out. He keeps the names of his teachers to himself.
Andy Dittrich comes from business. Twenty-five years of learning and development, learning formats and programmes for leadership teams in around thirty countries, from Zurich to Singapore, from Boston to Rio de Janeiro. An Executive MBA from the University of Zurich and Boston University. Ten years as a partner of Harvard Business School Publishing. A first book, GATE 2-2. Aufbruch ins Leben.
He found the answer to his question somewhere else. The first shamanic workshop was booked like an appointment. It became around a hundred, with different teachers, and those became many years with two of them: an indigenous shaman in North America and one in Mongolia. Plus a teacher in the Moroccan desert. Many nights at the fire. Always as a student.
From business he brought one observation: most problems don't get solved in the head. That became FIVE MOVES, a body-based method that releases a block in one session and is passed on today by more than forty trained guides in five countries. From the fire he brought something else: three questions an old man asks. What do you see? Where are you? Where does your line go?
You are born a shaman. What you can learn is to listen when the drum begins.
The names aren't written anywhere. Not in the books, not on this page. The teachers he stayed with longest leave no traces, and that's no accident, it's their way. What he passes on is what was given to him at the fire, in the only form it ever had: as a story.
That's why the books are stories and not guides. And that's why the knowledge pages only contain what he knows from the inside. What he hasn't done himself isn't there.
Three books about the same three questions. Stories, not guides, because knowledge at the fire was never passed on any other way.
Three ways. All in German, all in Switzerland, all with him in person.
